Are you tired? Do you snore? You may be one of the thousands of Americans suffering from sleep apnea.

How to get tested:
Visit your primary care manager and explain your symptoms, for example, snoring, fatigue, or your spouse witnessing your absence of breathing during sleep. Your primary care manager should refer you to a specialist or sleep lab. Depending on the results of your diagnosis from the lab, you will be referred to a specialist or Durable Medical Equipment company for treatment.

Remember, the current diagnosis and therapy process can in some cases take over a month. If your treatment prescribed involves Positive Airway Pressure therapy, you have options in your provider and your provider of replacement supplies. Be sure to get a download capable machine which reads not only usage, but mask leak and your apnea hypopnea index. Check out the threads under PAP therapy to find out more about providers of PAP therapy and supplies (machines, masks and accessories).
